New Bible Reading Plan and an update....

Happy Tuesday, Reader!

If you've been here a while, you might be familiar with our Bible reading plans, something God laid on my heart a few years back in the early days of Gather 'Round. Normally we've done a free printable, and in fact you may be wondering why we are doing this when last years plan is still active—to be honest, it was because I wanted this resource for our road trip. God has been laying on my heart the power of His word, and I have this picture of us splitting up the reading and all reading aloud his Word, passing around the Bible and infusing our days with the power of scripture. As such, I have come up with a few new things and these are actually available in print for the first time and going to be sold on the site (for a very reasonable price). I am trying to keep expenses as low as possible to just cover our overhead on these, so hopefully that makes it affordable and a great resource for you and your families.

But what is even more exciting is that I'm cooking up something new entirely! I am creating a Battle Plan Concordance. In the back of our Bible reading plans and our Bible reading monthly journals (see more below) is a Battle Plan page (or group of pages). These are designed for you to write down something you are struggling with and find targeted scripture to speak out and start to fight with the sword of the Spirit. To facilitate that, the Battle Plan Concordance goes over a list of struggles and has a bunch of verses that can help you. On top of that, I felt like God gave me a picture of a companion journal that could be used with any of these to help you deep dive study His Word/these scriptures. This will have a place for you to copy the verse in two translations to compare, zoom back and find the context, pray and ask Holy Spirit to reveal His word to you and help you understand, look up the original Greek and meaning, write what it is saying to you, And based on the verse in James that says "do not merely listen to the Word and so deceive yourselves, do what it says!" . . . write one thing you can do based on that. This will be a tool for us, for our children, for anyone to be able to learn the steps to meditating on His Word and writing it on our hearts. I hope to have these two products done before we leave next week so stay tuned for more Bible resources coming your way!

US History 6 is going to be done for the writing stage today if all goes well, so we are in our final week or so of design, proofing, etc. and hope to launch it next week at which point I can start on Growing Up with God and then we're on to St. Patrick and Rocks and Minerals! Some great stuff coming your way! I want to share a bit more about the new products on the site (the monthlies are great for daily journaling for the whole family) and then stay tuned for the end of this newsletter where I'll share some prayer requests.

1. Check out our new Bible Reading Plans!

Yearly Bible Reading Plan

We are so excited to be launching another Bible reading plan—this one organized by pericopes (or sections) of the Bible rather than merely chapters. This allows you to finish a complete thought or passage and still moves traditionally from Genesis to Revelation.

This 40+ page resource has daily Bible reading, with a rest or catch-up day on Sunday. It also has a monthly page to jot down what you feel God is saying to you and one daily bread journaling page and one battle plan page in the appendix for you to photocopy or print and use. In this sense, you can make your own journal if you like creating your books, or just use this alongside your own journal or resource. This is our very first time offering our Bible plan in print and we are very excited to see how it does! This is available in Print or Digital!

Monthly Bible Reading Plan Journal

I am so excited about this brand new product: Our Monthly Bible Reading Plan Journal. This 40+ page printable includes a one-month Bible reading schedule as well as daily journaling pages to log your scripture memory, prayers and praises, what God is saying to you, etc. There are also battle plan pages in the back that you can use to make plans to help you find victory against negative emotions and patterns such as overwhelm, anxiety, etc.

You can purchase the months individually or as a bundle for the full year. This is available in Print or Digital.

2. Are you registered for our Gather 'Round Spring Retreat?

Dates: April 20-23, 2023
Where: Lake Junaluska Retreat and Conference Center in North Carolina
Theme: Rise Up!

What if you could come and worship with other like-minded families, see our Gather 'Round books in person (and maybe pick some up), grab some merch, meet other homeschool families who share your values, pray together as a family and seek God together, and be encouraged and inspired? This camp has a hotel right on site, a coffee shop, and even a cafeteria where we can eat together, meet together, and learn together. Spend the afternoons boating or fishing on the lake or even playing basketball together. If you feel a tug in your heart to be there, would you take the time to pray? Even if you feel like the money isn't there or you can't get the time off, see what God provides. I know that I know that God has something for us this weekend. And I know that He is God of the impossible and can provide all our needs. Let's see what testimonies He brings as we submit it to Him in prayer and follow His lead and stay tuned for some videos to come!

3. Join us LIVE!

I'm going live today. I'll be talking specifically about color coding and how it works and how to use it the best for your situation. This will potentially be our last live before we leave on our trip, so come and join us, ask your questions, and let's talk about it! The live will be on our Facebook page at 11:30 PST/2:30 EST. Hope to see you there!

Have you tried this fun unit?

That's my official update and some things to look forward to. But I wanted to end this newsletter with just some prayer requests.

1. We have a vehicle to tow to the United States so that we can actually get around a bit easier! But we need some parts in order to tow it. All these parts have come in but one. We have some weather moving in so we have a limited amount of time to go next week and if this part doesn't come in, we have a few problems. First of all, we paid for these parts already and the labor so it isn't as simple as doing it in the states. And secondly, if it doesn't come in, I won't be able to write as we drive and will instead be forced to drive the towing vehicle behind. This will significantly impact my ability to do anything in the coming weeks. We are believing that the part will come in this week. We have a tentative appointment Friday, would you pray with me that it comes?

2. We have so much to do this week as we get ready. People to see, packing to do, shopping that has to get done, cleaning, not to mention me trying to get as much work as possible done. At this point, I'm praying for productivity and supernatural time and we would so appreciate your prayers that things would go smoothly, we wouldn't forget anything important, and there would be peace and joy for our kiddos as we say goodbye once again to all we know.

3. Finally, as we prepare to cross the border, prayer that all will go smoothly. Our first stop is as far south as we can get and we are praying for clear weather, safety on the road, and some time as we start our journey as a family. We are taking some time off in February to just be together and have a bit of a family vacation for a week or so—and this time I want to just be present with my fam, considering they often have a half-present mama.

Blessings, friend, and we'll be in touch especially on Instagram as we start our travels.

I will be going live today at 2pm EST to help answer those questions so if you still...
