1. I decided to put together a Valentine's Day Mini Unit!​

This one is only 3 days long. Lesson 1 is about the history of the day, lesson 2 focuses on different traditions around the world, and lesson 3 points it all back to God. With three levels, it is designed kind of like our James Bible Study with one level for reluctant readers/writers, one level for that upper elementary/middle kind of age (lighter writing) and the third level for high school and adults. You'll be writing valentines, coming up with new traditions, baking cookies, and so much more! With V-Day falling on a Wednesday this year, it will be the perfect 3-day precursor and a fun little break from the books. In this unit, we take you on a world tour to find the strangest, most beautiful, most venomous, and most bizarre cold-blooded creatures around the globe. Each day has a focus on geography plus we are going back to the basics and teaching students how to research and (for the first time) giving them an assigned animal to write about with information (for younger ages) so that they can do their research as they go! This unit has no color-coding and is so much fun! Check out the free sample and stay tuned, we hope to be launching this one in early February!

This might seem like an odd topic, but I've been trying to mix up my lives with some Bible studies and general workshop sessions, and this is something that is on my heart as a business person. I feel like these days, everyone is selling something—rather that is essential oils, books, some sort of health supplement, or anything else. I really do believe that the world of marketing and sales is drastically changing and specifically, as Christian business people, I think we are called to authenticity, love, and integrity. If you sell anything, I hope you'll join me!

Also, for those asking about the Gathered in His Name (GIHN) 2024 event, I did not get near enough responses for April—which I was kind of suspecting. The cost of this event is astronomical and I've been looking into alternative dates and venues, though options seem to be few. I am now considering a summer date, July 18-20, with options for livestreaming. Not sure if anyone would be interested, but I thought I'd throw it out there before I commit to the crazy bill ;)
